Will the domain I register be my property?
Yes. Anybody can register .gr - Domains, regardless of nationality.
The domain will be registered in your name and you will be the legal owner. Q:
How do I prove it is my domain?
You will receive a notification from the Greek Hostmaster by email, this is your document of ownership.

Can I register any name I like?
Almost. Certain names are prohibited, for example words that are offensive to public moral or reserved internet keywords.
Q:
I want to park my domain on your server. What if I want to move it somewhere else later on?
No problem. You just send an email with the domain name and the name servers and we will change the entry accordingly free of charge.

Is there a discount on registering more domains?
Yes. If you register more than 10 Domains you will be liable for a discount.

I want to enter my own nameservers. Do I have to connect my domain to these nameservers?
Yes! If you enter your own nameservers it is very important that you connect your domain to them.
Before a domain is appproved by the Greek telecommunication authorities they check if the domain is really connected to the specified nameservers. If it is not, the application will be rejected. Please note that rejected domains due to this reason are non refundable! |
